Fishing Boat This is the recovered remains of a fishing boat from the sea of Galilee in Israel. Such a boat reminds us of the boats of which the fishermen used which became apostles. You can get an idea of the size of the boat from the man standing at the left. These baptistries are located in Avdat, and Mamshit/Mampsis in the Negev and likely built in the Byzantine era 250-600AD. The Arabs conquered the area around 636AD.
