Slide 2 of 21

Notes:

    This first section is just used to introduce the lesson and get people to think about the need for personal devotional time, prayer and Bible study. It will last a few minutes and then you should distribute the survey. I suggest that you give people time to finish the survey in class and turn them in so that you will have time to compile the results and report them back next week utilizing the PowerPoint (R) slide show set up for that purpose.

    ============================
    Personal Evaluation: - We should often pause to examine ourselves.
    Despite our many "time saving" appliances and conveniences we live in a society that clamors for our attention. In fact, time is often our most precious commodity. It is easy to be driven along with no planned course.
    Someone has said that if you don't plan to go anywhere then you will end up nowhere. Planning for our spiritual development helps keep us from wandering about in the wilderness like the children of Isreal did for 40 years.
    If we don't pause to examine ourselves then we may have no idea where we are are or where we are going. Many people set personal goals and plans for their lives but often allow their spiritual lives to just drift aimlessly along.
